the perfect start to #grillingseason
This dish is excellent with flat bread or rice pilaf. Serve with Spicy Ezme and cacik. This can be marinated in the morning and grilled in the afternoon or evening. Here is what you need:
prep time: up tp 8 hours
grilling time: <20 minutes
serves: 4
4 - 6 chicken tenders
1/2 c olive oil
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground clove
bamboo skewers, soaked in hot water for at least an hour
parsley for garnish on top
salt and pepper to taste
start by heating the olive oil. Add garlic and spices. Be careful that the oil is not too hot. Your not trying to FRY the Garlic and Spices but Infuse the oil with the flavor.
let the oil cool to room temperature. When cool, marinate the chicken tenders in the oil for up to 8 hrs or overnight. Skewer the tenders
grill for about 10-13 minutes and serve hot with cacik, ezme, pita or rice pilaf and salad
